Ideal candidates for eyelid surgery must be in good health, not smoke, and be concerned about the appearance of their eyes. Eyelid surgery can be performed on the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. Techniques
Upper Eyelid Surgery
Inconspicuous incisions are placed in the natural creases of the eyelids. Depending on the desired extent of correction, Dr. Alexander may reposition fat deposits, remove excess skin, and tighten the remaining tissue.
Lower Eyelid Surgery
Small incisions are created below the lower lash line, through which excess skin can be removed and fat can be removed or repositioned. The lower eyelid muscle may also be tightened, if necessary.
